Forty to fifty years ago, pitch fibre pipes were commonly installed for drains and sewers in new housing, as they were relatively inexpensive and easy to handle. Unfortunately, it has now been established that these pipes can at best offer a working life of forty years.

Today, many pitch fibre pipes are causing problems. The pipes are deforming and collapsing under pressure, and bumps and blisters appearing within them, due to delamination.

Fortunately, DrainTech South West can often offer a "no-dig" solution to the problem. After surveying the pipes with CCTV, we can use remote techniques to clear the bumps and blisters from inside, re-round them to their original design, and reline them to waterproof the pipes and preserve their restored shape.
